To fit the glass you heat the bezel, it expands and you drop in the glass. The key is to use a large enough wattage iron. Mine is dual range at 100/140 watts. The tabs and the bezel can be tinned first to minimize heating and heat transfer to the glass. Less solder and more cleaning of the soldered surfaces is the key.
