I agree any polish should be used in moderation, even tooth paste is an abrasive.

WebOct 9, 2012 · Mother's and Flitz are great. If you want to polish the outside of a blued or stainless weapon, Renaissance Wax is the best that I have found. It is even used by the National Archive and Smithsonian for many things. Once a surface is polished with this stuff, it is impossible to leave fingerprints on it. Ive had this sort of issue on other guns, doing this has helped. ... I went ahead and polished the ramp using Mother's and a Dremel polishing bit. Works much better now, thanks.
