To have it on for more than 3 hours is a waste of electricity. Put a timer on the cord and set it to come on 3 hours before your ready to drive. You will need a piece of stiff wire ( coat hanger or piece of electric fence wire). I used fence wire since the wire was small enough to fit in the small holes in the electrical plug prong.
