WebNov 10, 2015 · The NID has a jack that connects the house to the line/att/network. When you pull the jack in the NID it disconnects the house. Plug in a phone in the line jack & try calling in. If it rings, the problem is in the house wiring. If it does not ring it is an att problem - they should work back up stream to find it.
