Also, lots of jet boaters seem to favor the large oval port '049' heads. Remember, increasing RPM is not the only way to make a jet boat go fast.

To use the bigger valves you really need to grind on the ports and there is water in there..L.O.L. Not worth the risk to destroy a head.

The AFRs are great, but the exhaust issue concerns me. The edelbrock heads are good, but you are looking at a 288cc port.
